In a majestic affair steeped in tradition and royalty, Senator Rasheed Ladoja was officially crowned the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland in a grand coronation ceremony held on Friday, September 26, 2025. The event gathered many dignitaries, traditional rulers, and citizens to celebrate the new monarch.
The coronation marks a significant moment in Oyo State’s cultural heritage. The new monarch takes over amid high expectations to restore dignity, unity, and progress to the ancient city of Ibadan.
Photographs from the ceremony captured richly attired chiefs, the regal procession, royal regalia, and moments of homage by attendees. The palace and town were adorned in festivity as flags were hoisted, drums sounded, and obeisance paid.
