Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has stirred fresh reactions after declaring that his political loyalty ahead of the 2027 elections will depend on who offers him the most money.
Speaking in his signature street slang, Portable said he would support any politician that “settles” him financially, adding that loyalty in Nigerian politics often follows personal interest rather than ideology.
His comments have drawn mixed responses on social media, with some accusing him of promoting transactional politics, while others argued that he was simply reflecting Nigeria’s political reality.
