The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has sounded a strong warning to Nigerians, urging the public to be extremely careful when transacting with individuals or businesses claiming to operate under the names of 15 entities that are not registered in its official database.

The alert was issued via a public notice on X following a surge in complaints about suspected fraudulent companies posing as legitimate organizations.

According to the CAC, the following entities are circulating fake registration details and should be avoided:

1. Famas Services Nigeria Limited – RC 216312

2. Promo Dutch Investment Limited – RC 396654

3. Dialack Concept Nig. Ltd – RC 297772

4. Purpleheart Construction and Real Estate Mgt. Co. Ltd – RC 1210548

5. M/S Loktu Enterprises – BN 373466

6. Loktu Enterprises – BN 400390

7. Badatoyak Ltd – RC 521322

8. Johnson Nats Limited – RC 198492

9. Peoples Club Nigeria International – CAC/IT/41191

10. Jiba Enterprise – BN 577523

13. Amoka Group – BN 545221

14. BEEC Nigeria Limited – RC 30143

15. S. Adetunji – BN 657466

The Commission stressed that these entities do not exist in its registry, and any business dealings with them offer no legal protection since they lack recognized corporate status.

To safeguard the public from falling victim to fraudulent schemes, the CAC urged Nigerians to always verify company information before engaging in any transaction.

The Commission recommended the following steps:

How Nigerians Can Avoid Fraudulent Business Entities

* Verify Names and Registration Numbers: Check RC (Registered Company) or BN (Business Name) numbers through the CAC’s online verification portal.

* Request Official Documents: Ask for incorporation or business registration documents, especially for high-value or sensitive dealings.

* Avoid Unconfirmed Payments: Do not send money to businesses that cannot be validated via the CAC’s database.

* Report Suspicious Entities: Notify the CAC or relevant law enforcement agencies when any suspicious or unregistered entities are encountered.
