Wizkid & BNXN’s “Mood” Goes Gold in New Zealand

Nigeria’s Afrobeats stars Wizkid and BNXN have achieved a new international milestone as their 2021 collaboration “Mood” has been officially certified Gold in New Zealand.

The certification, issued by Recorded Music NZ, confirms that the single has surpassed 7,500 units in sales and streaming equivalents. “Mood” was originally released as part of the Made in Lagos (Deluxe) album, and quickly became a standout track among fans and critics alike.

This marks Wizkid’s sixth certification in New Zealand, further solidifying his global appeal.

For BNXN, it is his second certification in the country, signaling his growing influence beyond the African continent.

The certification adds to a growing list of international accolades for both artists and highlights the continued global expansion of Afrobeats.
