Popular Nigerian streamer Peller has tendered a public apology to a woman he recently clashed with at a restaurant, following widespread criticism from social media users.
The incident, which occurred a few days ago, gained attention after a video surfaced online showing the streamer in a heated exchange with a lady at an eatery.
According to Peller, the disagreement began when the woman complained about his loud behaviour, a remark that reportedly upset him and triggered an angry response.
Peller’s reaction, which included verbal criticism of the woman, did not sit well with many internet users. After the clip began circulating, several netizens called him out, describing his conduct as unnecessary and disrespectful.
Responding to the backlash, the streamer acknowledged his mistake and offered an apology, revealing that the woman involved is named Oginika. He admitted that his actions were influenced by the constant hostility he claims to experience online.
In his words, Peller explained that persistent online attacks have left him emotionally strained, making him more sensitive to criticism in public settings.
“I want to apologize to the lady I argued with at the restaurant,” he said. “My name is always dragged online, and the hate is overwhelming. When I hear something negative in real life, it affects me deeply. Oginika, I’m sorry.”
However, while apologising, Peller also suggested that the situation could have been handled differently, adding that the way the comment was made to him felt unfair.
