Nollywood star Regina Daniels says she has no intention of walking down the aisle again following her turbulent split from billionaire politician Ned Nwoko.
The actress made the revelation while responding to a fan who asked whether she would consider giving marriage another chance—this time with someone closer to her age.
Regina’s answer was direct and emotional, indicating that her past experience has left lasting scars.
When asked, “Will you consider marrying another man who is your age?” she replied: “Nopeee, traumatized with that institution.”
Regina and Nwoko were traditionally married in 2019, a union that produced two children but was frequently trailed by controversy and intense public attention. Their relationship came under renewed scrutiny earlier this year after Regina posted a viral video in tears, claiming that her life in the household had become unbearable.
She accused Nwoko of excessive control, manipulation, and various forms of mistreatment, alleging that the situation left her mentally and emotionally distressed. According to her, she endured incidents where her phones were confiscated, she was locked indoors, and she was subjected to forced medical procedures, including powerful injections she believed were meant to undermine her credibility.
Ned Nwoko, however, firmly denied all accusations of abuse. He countered with claims that Regina’s issues stemmed from drug and alcohol use, alleging that her behaviour had become erratic and destructive. He accused her of damaging property, assaulting staff, and insisted she required rehabilitation.
Regina later acknowledged experimenting with drugs but maintained that it did not justify the treatment she says she endured. She insisted that the medical interventions imposed on her were punitive rather than supportive.
Complicating matters further, Regina revealed that their marriage may not have been legally recognized since it was conducted traditionally. This has made any formal separation process more complex. The conflict eventually drew in members of her family, including her brother, who publicly accused Nwoko of harassment and assault.
