Controversial street-hop artiste, Portable, has once again sparked conversation online after revealing the hefty amount he expects before making a guest appearance on Carter Efe’s livestream.
The drama unfolded during an Instagram conversation between Portable and Carter Efe, where the popular content creator disclosed that he had reached out to the singer with an invitation to feature on his livestream. What seemed like a simple collaboration, however, quickly turned into a heated discussion about money and status.
Portable made it clear that his presence does not come cheap. According to the singer, he would only honor the invitation if Carter Efe pays an appearance fee of ₦10 million.
He emphasized that he does not share his fame or visibility for free and believes any engagement involving his brand must come with proper compensation.
While speaking, Portable bluntly told Carter Efe to mobilize his fans and supporters to raise the money, stating that once the ₦10 million reflects in his account, he would gladly appear on the livestream. He further stressed that he considers himself a star and deserves to be paid accordingly, adding that he would not accept being taken for granted.
The outspoken musician also took subtle jabs at Carter Efe, accusing him of making money from other artists while being unwilling to pay for his own appearance. In his view, respect and recognition in the industry must be backed by financial commitment.
