The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has officially announced the commencement of its online admission process for the 78 Regular Course, inviting eligible male and female applicants from across the country to apply.

According to a statement released on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, by the Academy’s Registrar, Major Mohammed Maidawa, the application portal will open on Friday, November 28, 2025, and remain accessible until April 30, 2026.

Application Begins With Purchase of Access Code

The NDA instructed all prospective candidates to begin their registration by visiting the institution’s official application portal, where they are expected to purchase a unique Access Code before filling out their forms.

“Candidates should log on to the application portal and select Purchase Access Code, then fill in their details,” the statement said.

All payments for the application process must be made exclusively through Remita, using an Order ID and RRR code automatically generated from the portal.

Strict Payment Rule: Only Portal-Generated RRR Will Be Accepted

The Academy fixed the application fee at ₦7,000, stressing that the charge is non-refundable. It also issued a stern warning regarding fraudulent payment channels.

“Generate your Order ID and Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Code via the application portal, and proceed to pay the sum of ₦7,000 through Remita.

Only payments against RRR codes generated on the application portal will be accepted.”

The NDA clarified that any RRR code obtained outside the official portal will be rejected, debunking online claims suggesting that third-party generated codes could be used for payment.

The statement urged candidates to follow all instructions carefully, noting that invalid payments may lead to disqualification or unsuccessful application processing.

Academy Recalls Earlier Warning on Fake Admission Lists

The Academy also referenced an earlier notice issued in August, where it dismissed a circulating “successful candidates list” for the 2025 Armed Forces Selection Board, describing it as fake.

At the time, the Academy’s spokesperson cautioned applicants and the general public to rely strictly on official NDA communication channels for verified information.

NDA Reinforces Commitment to Transparent Admissions

The new announcement underscores the Academy’s commitment to maintaining a transparent and secure admissions process, especially amid rising cases of fraud targeting applicants.
