Nigerian music heavyweight and Mavin Records founder, Collins Ajareh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, recently found himself at the center of a heated social media exchange after an 𝕏 (formerly Twitter) user made claims about the collapse of his marriage.
The online user alleged that Don Jazzy’s former wife ended their union due to fertility-related issues, further speculating about the fate of the music executive’s vast wealth in the event of his death. The post stirred reactions online, drawing Don Jazzy into the conversation.
Rather than offering a detailed rebuttal, the award-winning producer responded with sarcasm. In a brief but pointed reply, Don Jazzy joked that he had been searching for the commenter during his marriage to help him with sperm, a response that quickly gained traction across social media platforms.
Meanwhile, in a separate development, veteran Nigerian artist and producer Abdulrasheed Bello, widely known as JJC Skillz, has accused Don Jazzy and fellow music star D’banj of betrayal dating back to their early careers.
Speaking during a recent appearance on the Echo Room interview series, JJC Skillz revisited his time in the United Kingdom when he said he supported several upcoming artists who later turned against him. According to him, Don Jazzy, D’banj, alongside others including Ayo and DJ Abass, allegedly worked against him despite his goodwill.
JJC Skillz claimed he met Don Jazzy through a mutual acquaintance named Taz, while D’banj and others were introduced via DJ Abass. At the time, they were reportedly involved in running a television station. He explained that he had reached out to them, hoping they could help reconnect him with Nigeria’s music industry, believing they had the necessary influence and connections.

According to the singer, his trust was misplaced, as he later discovered what he described as a coordinated effort to sideline him.
