Atiku: I’ll Step Down If a Younger Candidate Defeats Me in ADC Primaries

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has charged the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to take an active and strategic role in what he described as an urgent mission to prevent the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from further “damaging” Nigeria.

Atiku delivered the message while hosting ADC state chairmen from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory at his Abuja residence.

The meeting, which took place on Tuesday, December 2, was disclosed via a post on his official 𝕏 account.

The delegation, led by Ogga Kingsley, the ADC chairman in Kogi State, visited Atiku to formally welcome him into the party following his recent registration as a member.

During the interaction, Atiku emphasized that the coalition could no longer afford to delay its work. He urged all political stakeholders aligned with the coalition’s objectives to promptly complete their registration and become fully involved.

“At this critical juncture, nobody should remain neutral,” Atiku told the gathering, insisting that every supporter must take a stand.

He commended the ADC leadership across the country for their commitment and alignment with his vision for national recovery.

“I am delighted to see that the party’s leaders at the state level are focused on the future of our nation,” he said.
