A surprising scene unfolded on Monday evening when Afrobeats icon, Innocent “2Baba” Idibia, and his wife, lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, engaged in a heated exchange during a Facebook Live session hosted by media personality Daddy Freeze.
The singer had joined the broadcast only moments before things took an unexpected turn. Not long after he connected, background audio from his side captured a tense argument brewing off-camera.
In a sharp, frustrated tone, 2Baba was heard saying, “Shut the f*** up, you need to shut the f*** up.”*
Osawaru immediately fired back, her voice coming through loud and clear despite not appearing on screen. She demanded that the phone be handed over, insisting, “Innocent, bring that phone, let him see us together.”
At one point, she could be heard asking, “Is that Daddy Freeze’s?” before ordering the camera to be turned in their direction.
The tussle escalated as 2Baba, audibly exasperated, muttered, “See what you are doing,” right before the audio from his end suddenly cut off—leaving viewers confused about what had just transpired.
With the livestream thrown into chaos, Daddy Freeze stepped in to calm the thousands of stunned watchers. Visibly unsettled, he cautioned, “Guys, calm down. Let’s hope everything stabilizes so we can understand what is going on.”
He ended the broadcast shortly afterward.
The on-air confrontation came only hours after another incident involving the couple went viral. Earlier in the day, footage emerged from a shopping mall in the United Kingdom, showing 2Baba being briefly restrained by officers of the Nigeria Police Force. In that clip, Osawaru could be heard shouting at him as the situation unfolded.
Daddy Freeze had started the live session in an attempt to clarify what happened at the mall—but the effort backfired as tensions between the couple boiled over right in the middle of the broadcast.
