Reality TV star and former Big Brother Naija winner, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has revealed that she was detained at a hotel in Abuja following an altercation that reportedly led to property damage worth ₦3.5 million.

According to a post shared on her Instagram story, Phyna claimed the hotel management accused her of causing significant damage to their property and insisted she remain in custody pending resolution of the matter.

“They said I should not leave because the damage is worth ₦3.5 million,” the reality star wrote, expressing her frustration over the situation.

Clash Allegedly Sparked by Unprovoked Attack

Phyna further explained that the incident began after individuals known to her arrived at the hotel and allegedly attacked her.

The confrontation, she said, escalated into chaos within the premises, ultimately resulting in the damage the hotel later reported.

“I was attacked by some people I know. I didn’t go to look for trouble. They came to the hotel, and things got out of hand,” she claimed.

Although the identities of the individuals involved remain unclear, eyewitnesses report that the scene quickly became heated, drawing attention from hotel staff, security, and eventually the police.

No Official Statement Yet from Hotel or Authorities

As of the time of filing this report, the hotel management has not released an official statement regarding the incident. Similarly, there has been no confirmation from law enforcement regarding Phyna’s detention or whether formal charges will be filed.
