The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially fixed Tuesday, December 2, 2025, for its governorship primary election in Osun State, affirming that all preparations have been concluded following the successful conduct of its ad hoc and national delegates congresses.

In a statement issued by the National Organising Secretary, Theophilus Dakas Shan, the party confirmed that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had been duly notified of its schedule and readiness for the exercise.

“The Party wishes to remind stakeholders, delegates and the public that the governorship primary will proceed as planned,” the statement noted.

According to the PDP, a fully constituted Electoral Committee has been deployed to oversee the primary, which is set to commence at 10 a.m. in Osogbo, the state capital. The party added that the delegate congresses held on November 24 and November 29, 2025, were hitch-free, thereby clearing the path for the decisive vote.

Reiterating its commitment to internal discipline, the PDP stressed that the final stage of the nomination process requires absolute compliance with party rules and procedures.

Governorship aspirants were warned to maintain decorum and adhere strictly to the party’s constitution throughout the exercise.
